For anyone trying to replace the power jack on a Lenovo Ideapad U400 I wish you luck. After tearing the laptop down and getting to the power jack you are presented with a major problem. Lenovo who I thought was one of the “good guys” in the computer world has decided to follow Apple down the road of “don’t try to fix your computer” mentality. Here is what happens when you get to the part of taking the power jack out...

I was recently looking for an affordable wireless IP camera that had infrared and Pan/Tilt. There a quite a few of these to choose from if you are in the market for an IP camera. Foscam makes popular low budget IP cameras but I have yet to try one. The price range for a Foscam starts out at around $80. If you recently bought a COOLER MASTER CM Storm Series Trooper case (SGC-5000-KKN1) you may run into problems when installing a 3.5″ USB card reader. The issue I found when I installed my card reader is that the front of the card reader ends up being recessed about 3/8 of an inch from the front of the case. It should be flush to the front of the case. I spent about a half hour trying different ways and different card readers to get it to...
